VMware vSphere 4.1 Accelerated Boot Camp

This 5-day Boot Camp class offers an integrated training and certification path suited for intermediate and advanced VMware administrators. This course covers all the bases plus advanced management and emphasizes “best practice” techniques and integrations for maintaining a production vSphere environment.

In our VMware^® vSphere™ Infrastructure Deployment - Accelerated Boot Camp each student will install and configure one or more ESX 4 Servers “the right way” and then configure a complete VMware vSphere environment with ESX, ESXi and vCenter Server. When each student has completed vCenter configuration, we will cluster participants ESX Servers and explore vCenter services such as: Distributed Resource Scheduling, High Availability and Distributed Power Management.

All Labs will be done using our state-of-the-art VMware Hardware Compatibility List servers. Participants will learn not only vSphere management, but also real-world integrations and datacenter management scenarios which go far beyond the scope of other training programs.

• Command line management of ESX 4 Servers using the Service Console and Remote Command Line interfaces
• Install and use the vSphere Management Assistant tor ESX and ESXi
• Monitor performance using advanced tools and commands
• Manage log files. rotation and archive

The VMware^® vSphere™ Infrastructure Deployment - Accelerated Boot Camp is intended for IT professionals with familiarity with Windows Server and TCP/IP Networking as well as Windows or Linux Command Line use.

Participants qualify to take the Certified Virtualized Datacenter Administrator (CVDX ™) exam at no additional charge. Qualifying candidates will receive their (CVDX ™) certificate and access to other resources within 2 weeks of qualification.
