Q: What's the difference between the VCP and the CVDX?

A: The VCP and the CVDX are completely different certifications. The VCP is a completely valid certification and the standard of the industry. The VCP exam is a multiple-choice and multi-select test which demonstrates knowledge and memory of specific facts relating to VMware vSphere. The CVDX is a practical exam which conclusively proves an individual's ability to function and complete specific tasks using VMware vSphere and industry standard IaaS resources.

Q: Who knows about the CVDX?

A: It depends, but based on the resources we have provided and the documentation given to every successful CVDX candidate: Both technical and non-technical individuals will be able to determine the skill set proven by the CVDX.

Q: I have never heard of the CVDX before, how do I know it is for real?

A: The VCP and the CVDX are completely different certifications. In an ideal world, you will be able to attain both the CVDX and VCP certifications. In the event you choose CVDX only, we have provided a host of resources for CVDX holders and will be happy to provide those resources to your employer as well. A: It is a nationally known and supported certification. Individuals and companies can choose which certification(s) they will recognize; however, our certification process is valid and more comprehensive than many.

Q: How long does the exam take?

A: CVDX™ 5 exam sessions last two hours

Q: What if I need to re-take the exam

A: Retakes are easily available at a time and place which is convenient for you. Ask your exam proctor to schedule an appointment or schedule a retake through your account executive.

Q: I would like to study for a few days before taking the exam; can I schedule an appointment following class?

A: Absolutely! We encourage you to take the exam immediately following class so you have a better understanding of the knowledge required. The cost of the exam and retakes is included in your basic tuition, so you may test when you want to.

Q: I took a certification exam once which had questions based on out-of-date materials. How current are the exams?

A: That's the beauty of a practical exam. It simply can't be out-of-date for its version!

Q: How about memorization? I took an exam once where many questions were based on the capitalization of a particular command switch.

Q: Your website says that you will send a confirmation of certification on my behalf to any address I specify. Why would I do that?

A: Our confirmation letter is in standard business format, printed on company letterhead and signed. It will be delivered directly to the address you specify by first-class mail within two weeks of your request. It just looks good and demonstrates your skills in a way that no other certification for virtualization professionals can.

Q: My certificate was damaged in the mail, how do I get a replacement?
