VMsources has created a variety of Virtual Appliances for the VMware vSphere environment.

NOTE: Due to bandwidth restrictions, the appliances are only available from 17:00 E.D.T. to 09:00 E.D.T..

Openfiler 2.99 Openfiler 2.99

The Openfiler 2.99 ESA in a VMware vSphere Virtual Appliance. We built Openfiler 5 times before we were completely satisfied with the configuration, so you would have the best-functioning Openfiler possible.

This Openfiler is fully patched (as of 8/13/11) with the VMware Tools "Official" package installed. This install uses the VMware Paravirtualized SCSI adapter (pvscsi) and the vmxnet3 network adapter.

Please note: At install the MAC address of the NIC's was manually set to:
00:50:56:01:23:45
00:50:56:12:34:56
You will need to manually set the NICs on your VM to these exact MAC addresses. These addresses are in the reserved range for manually set MAC addresses and will not be duplicated in your environment, unless you have manually assigned them to other VM's.

The root user:password is:root:P@ssw0rd but the GUI admin user:password is: openfiler:password
